indesign Hw 1

Frame tool       The frame tool is one I think I'd use a lot in Indesign. If you're a newbie wanting to build image-based designs, this tool is a must-have. InDesign frames are used to incorporate photographs, graphics, or backdrops. I think this tool is a pretty simple too and I would use it to insert images in to my project.  Indesign CS5 Tutorial - How to Use the Frame tool - YouTubeYouTube · Dusty Porter Pen tool  The pen tool, like any other Adobe application, is something I'd want to talk about. A straight line is the simplest route you can draw using the Pen tool. It is created by clicking the Pen tool twice to produce two anchor points. By clicking again, you form a route composed of straight line segments joined by corner points. You can alter the segments between these places by editing them. It may take some work to gain control of these locations but overall I think it will be simple to use.  InDesign Introduction to the Pen Tool - YouTubeh...

Portfolio

Image
I had a fantastic time creating all my projects in this class. Creating my portfolio was the best part because I could see all my work come together. I could see the progress I've made through each of my projects from beginning to the end of the semester. I chose my theme and colors because they are two favorite. It was fun presenting all my work and I will be using photoshop a lot more thanks to this class. It was really a great semester !

Business cards

Image
In the age of the internet, the business card may appear to be an old relic, yet it is one of the most powerful and widely utilized personal branding tools in the business industry. I wanted my card to be straightforward while standing out from the crowd. I kept certain design components in mind, or else my business card would annoy more than it attracts. I didn't want my card to be too busy, or otherwise no one would pay attention to the content. To make my cards, I used my logo and a simple solid background. My logo design included three color variants, which I matched to the card's backdrop color. My business is something that I am really passionate about. Playing, watching, and reading about basketball is my favorite leisure activity. A basketball court is where I feel most at peace, and it's the one location on the planet where I can be confident in what I'm doing and saying. Despite popular belief, small players can and do play at the top levels of basketball. M...

Tagbrush

Image
I wanted my tag brush to be a representation of my interests. The water and the lovely palm trees were two of the reasons I moved to Florida. Moving to Florida was one of the best moves I've made lately, and I wanted my tag brush to reflect that. My tag brush involves pouring color and using conventional brush strokes to create a picture. I wanted my tag to be straightforward and easy to remember.       Humans rely significantly on being able to comprehend and interpret information. So color choice has been shown to impact human behavior. I used the color blue because it is favored by so many people. Another reason is because it is mainly viewed as a traditional, non threatening hue, that leaves the mind feeling calm or serene. It leaves a feeling of trust and confidence that can reduce stress.

B&W to color

Image
During this project I found that changing colors of an image is pretty simple. The most complicated thing about the technique is the masking tool. The color rules I used were the triad, monochromatic, and analogous. In the triad color rule, I picked three hues that are evenly separated and used these lovely, contrasting tones to decorate my area. This produced a harmonious effect, but without the somewhat ombre or monochrome design. instead, it is more intriguing and vibrant.  The Monochromatic rule I used refers to a color scheme that uses only one color tint. It only uses variations of a single hue, which are created by changing the saturation and brightness of a base color. A monochromatic color scheme may be created using any color. Even with a highly intense base color, the effect is smooth, beautiful, and comfortable for the eyes. There is no color conflict because there is only one color used. Accents and highlights, on the other hand, may be more difficult to see.Whe...

Artist statement:  Completing this project was a fun experience. I wasn't sure how I was going to finish this project at first, but after playing around in Adobe Illustrator, I discovered that the "envelope distort" to "make with top object" would be the ideal tool for the job. If you want to utilize an item as the envelope's shape, make sure it's at the top of the stacking order for the object you want to use. My first idea was to base my writing around a dolphin. The dolphin was my source of inspiration. The dolphin symbol sends a profound message by representing eternal life. Because of their intellect and conversational personalities, dolphins are one of my favorite species. Dolphins are well-known for their elegance and beauty. Dolphins communicate using a language that contains sounds with various functions, just like people, as well as examples of enjoyment, fun, teaching, and social cohabitation behaviors. So I wanted my letter to speak through...

Logo

Image
My logo was inspired by Nate Robinson's book, Heart over Height. Robinson takes readers behind the scenes of his childhood hardships as well as the defining events of his career in Heart Over Height. Heart Over Height tells a narrative that exemplifies what it takes to persevere. To be persevere, you have to be persistent despite difficulty or delay in achievements. Basketball is frequently referred to as a game of giants. Some of the greatest tiny men in NBA history have demonstrated that heart cannot be taught. My father taught me to work for what I want and that it's more about what's in your heart and how much you want it than it is about what God has given you physically. I want my logo to inspire younger players to enjoy the game and use their height to their advantage. In terms of color connotation, orange is lively, energetic, and warm. Orange creates a general sense of well-being as well as emotional energy that should be shared, such as passion. Orange will aid ...

Self portrait

Propaganda usually succeeds in eliciting an emotional response from the audience. Public posters were a typical approach for governments to employ propaganda to influence their population for most of the twentieth century. They used simple visuals to control individuals by instilling dread or shame in them. I wanted my poster to be positive. I used the analogous color combination show to keep the theme of the original photo. One of my Michael Jordan's favorite quotes is "Others people want it to happen, some want it to happen, and others make it happen." You must be an action taker to make things happen.  It is your passion for what you do that, in my opinion, is the most vital trait you need to be successful in life and to make things happen. It motivates you to do the things you need to do on a daily basis to make things happen. It keeps you going when everything around you is going wrong. I used my Tampa Women's Basketball picture to show where I apply this quote...

Photoshop, for me, is a tool for creating a compelling visual world.  It is also a means for me to explore the spectrum of possibilities made available by my material selection. I also use it as an opportunity to experiment with the various possibilities opened up by slight adjustments in color, composition, and technique of application. Overthinking was the theme of my project, and it's something I do a lot. Everyone, at times, overthinks things. Overthinking has been related to anxiety and depression, but when you're in the thick of it, however, it's difficult to tell what state you are in. The reason I used the clouded head and space background is because the more I ponder an issue, the worse I feel. And, because emotions may cloud my judgment, it becomes more difficult to take a proactive approach which leaves me feeling lost or uncertain. Everyday, my boyfriend would ask me “ what do you want to eat?” and everyday, i would tell him “ i don't know, it...

Somewhere artist statement

Image
This project focused mainly on celebrating a goal that I have accomplished. Ever since I was a child, I wanted to be in High School Musical. Let's face it, what kid doesn't want to be in High School Musical? Ever since I saw this movie I was ready to go to Highschool. The movie aided me in accepting my true self with all the life examples they gave throughout the film. For example, the lunch scene, when Zeke admits that he baked cookies and then everyone revealed their secrets as well. It made me want to embrace everything I didn't like about myself after watching them accept their inner selves. I learned young that if I accept who I am, other people will accept me too.  “We're all in this together," was one of the most essential things I took away from those films. A fundamental tenet of the movie is that there is power in numbers. As an example, consider music. A solo piece is beautiful, but an ensemble piece allows everyone to shine. We'll have our ow...

Photoshop homework 2

go to https://www.instagram.com/kirbyjenner/?hl=en ; find 1 image you think it would be really hard to photoshop yourself in to, post the image and the comment on your blog  Any scenic shot, in my opinion, is difficult to photoshop yourself into. This is due to lighting difficulties, shadows, and height scaling, in my opinion. The horizon line must fit if you are photoshopping an image into a photoscape background. The horizon is the point at which the earth plane meets the sky. If it is not visible in the image, you must use parallel conversion lines. To make it seem realistic, you must also modify the luminance or color. go to https://www.instagram.com/averagerob/ ; find 1 image that inspired you or gave you an idea for the "Somewhere" project. Post the image and the comment on your blog  In all honesty, I was watching High School Musical, an old favorite of mine.
